We aim to have your order with Royal Mail for shipping within 2-5 days from receipt of order.  Please refer to Royal Mail website for current estimated delivery times.

We will deliver products to you as soon as reasonably possible and no longer than 30 days from when we receive your order.  Should this not be possible perhaps because high demand has resulted in products being out of stock, bad weather or accident then we will inform you about the progress of your order.  

Please note that we can only deliver your order to one address.  If you would like to send gifts to different addresses, please create a separate address for each order.

We do not currently offer a gift-wrapping service.

We use Royal Mail to ship items.  If you are outside of the UK Mainland, please advise at the time of your order and we will enquire the cost to ship to you and add this cost on to your order.  We do not send items recorded delivery unless you specify that you require this prior to ordering, and we confirm back to you that this is acceptable prior to your order being submitted.  There will be an additional charge upfront to cover the cost of this from Royal Mail.  We accept no responsibility for the items once they have been placed in the hands of Royal Mail.  You are required to pay any additional charges relating to delivery including any applicable customs charges.  

We do not specify a time for delivery.  The delivery of your items is handled by Royal Mail so once your order is with the Post Office, please contact them for information about delivery times.

All delivery is subject to the order being available and us receiving successful payment.  

Should you need to make a change to, or cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible.  If it is possible, we will do our best to assist.  If you order has already been shipped, we will not be able to change/cancel it.

We regret that we do not accept returns of items unless there is some manufacturing fault or product error.

 

Introduction and Information about us.

These are the terms and conditions which advise you on how we supply products to you from this website.  Please read these carefully before submitting your order to us.  These terms explain who we are, how we provide products to you, how to return products to us, what to do if there is a problem and other relevant information.

We are Michelle Douglas sole trader and as yet are unregistered as a company with Companies House.

You can contact us using the ‘Contact us’ section of the website.

We will contact you using the email address, telephone number and/or postal address that you provided to us in your order or via the contact us option.

 

The images of the products on the website are for illustrative purposes only.  Although we have made every effort to accurately display the products, we cannot guarantee that a computer or device’s display reflects the colours accurately.  Your product may vary slightly from these images.  

Our acceptance of the order will take place when a confirmation email is sent to you, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this and not charge you for the product.  This might be for one of several reasons including because the product is out of stock, limited resources, price or description error or because we are unable to meet a delivery deadline you have specified.

We will assign an order number to your order and advise you of this number when we accept it.  Please tell us your order number whenever you contact us. 

You must be aged 18 or over to order products from this website.

 

Unless otherwise indicated, standard delivery via Royal Mail to UK mainland is included in the cost of the items displayed on the website.  Additional charges (such as customs duty) may apply for delivery outside of the UK.

We are not liable for delays caused by events outside of our control.  Wherever possible we will advise you should we be aware of a delay.

The product is your responsibility from the time we deliver the product to the address you provided to us.

Subject to 8 (Intellectual Property) below, you own the products once we have received full payment for them.

We reserve the right to suspend the supply of a product to deal with technical problems or make minor changes.

Please take care when providing information such as name and delivery details.  If you provide incomplete or incorrect information which results in the product ordered being supplied late or not being supplied at all we will not be held responsible.

 

The price of the product will be the price indicated on the order pages of the website when you placed the order.  At present Michelle Douglas is not registered for VAT so no VAT is payable.  We take all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct.  However please see below what happens if we discover an error in the price of the product you order.

Payment is required before dispatch.  Credit card payments are handled through a third-party payment processor.  This third-party payment processor will collect and may retain your credit card information to process your payment.  Please see Privacy policy.  Additional terms and conditions of your payment method provider may apply to your purchase.

We reserve the right to verify credit and debit cards prior to acceptance.  We may cancel or suspend your order if the payment method cannot be verified, is invalid, or is otherwise not acceptable for whatever reason.  You are responsible for resolving any payment problems.

When ordering products from us for delivery to any address outside the UK, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination.  You are responsible for paying all customs import duties, taxes and additional charges which may apply to your order, including any applicable currently exchange fees.

 

You have the legal right to change your mind about your order without giving any reason, within 14 days of receiving your order.  You have 14 days after the day you receive the order to tell us.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly communicate to us your decision to cancel (e.g. by sending a recorded delivery letter by post or email). 

If you have received your order, you should send back the products you wish to return to our customer services team within 14 days from the day on which we were informed of your decision to cancel.  You will have to cover the cost of returning the product, having securely packaged it for transit.  On receipt of the items or within 14 days of receiving proof of returning the product, using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, we will return the money you paid for the products.

We recommend that you obtain evidence of postage from the post office and retain this evidence of postage until you have received your refund.

We reserve the right to refuse to refund or exchange products that are returned to us that are not in a resalable condition.

Items stated on the website as non-returnable are non-returnable.

You may return any product (Including those otherwise excluded from the cancellation/return rights above) that is damaged or defective when delivered.  Once we have confirmed that a product is damaged or defective when delivered, we will refund the price paid and the reasonable postage cost of returning the product to us.

 

Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or restrict liability.

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.  Loss or damage that is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both you and we knew it might happen then it is foreseeable.

We only supply products for domestic use and private use.  We have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business or loss of contract or loss of business opportunity or interruption.  We do not agree to any business, resale, or commercial use without prior written consent.
